Access to God
Our “no-holds-barred” access to God through the finished work of Christ crushes our native tendency to avoid God or to use him to advance our agendas. In this way, our fear of rejection by him, which fuels the self-reliance that is the essence of our prayerlessness, is removed.
Final Triumph!
Those providential dealings that most terrify us … that bewilder us and fill us with knee-buckling dread … are often the very visitations of God that ultimately impart to us the greatest true comfort and courage. Through them we get a sneak preview of our final triumph!
